We developed a technology in our French offices that cuts the banana trunks and extracts the fibers directly in the producers’ fields. The fibers are processed into coils, then blended with cotton into a textile with greater tear resistance and a longer lifespan.
The banana tree only bears fruit once in its lifetime, and the farmer must cut it down after each harvest. Our process turns that residue into real textile fiber — following the journey from field to finished garment.
